RednGreen: Cursed Cathedral (Mario's Mystery Meat Remix)
11Welp, here's another cover I guess lol, tbh this video should've been done a loooong while ago, but because of the footage I was using to make it involving really big video lengths and filesizes overall alongside both of them being 1080p 60FPS as well... yeah, I mean, I can see why that happened, but also considering how some of the footage was really hard to try and find smaller versions of, let alone with the requirements I needed, I pretty much had no choice but to go for it sadly; I was also using a even bigger video as well before I had to try and find something else, but even that wasn't quite enough and still made my computer cry something fierce man (if you want to know, the video in question was nearly 10 hours, and the other one I used was pretty much half that; really wished that would've made a difference tbh, but oh well, what matters is that it's finally done I suppose)
Anyway, while there are parallels to the funny Meat hack™️ in the video, like with the title and some of the footage used, I actually tried to focus more on the parallels with Chrono Trigger instead since with me being a part of SMW Central for a while and having known this track primarily as a really cool pastiche of CT's music, it's the main way I've always known it as, and if I ever covered it I'd try to focus on those parallels instead, which is what I did here, pretty blatantly in some parts as well what with the Manoria Cathedral footage and the little organ chord progression part that's meant to act as a way to open the cathedral dungeon entrance in the game itself, but I also added here because I really like that chord prog in particular and think of it as a surprisingly amazing jingle for such a part in the game, and I thought it'd fit nicely as a intro to the actual cover here I guess... and no, that isn't actually just from the game itself, but my own remake of it that I made after getting the MIDI off of VGMTrans; I just didn't bother saying it in the video itself since frankly it was way too simplistic as a cover for me to even mention it in good faith LMAO
Ah yeah, also, here's the thumbnail art as well; reason for not adding it in the video in this case was simply because I was getting extremely tired of dealing with the video already, and even small changes would've made my computer suffer more, so I chose not to do it to keep my sanity intact I guess lmao... anyway here it is:
