Reduce Size of Project -Migrate
Reduce Memory on your MASSIVE Unreal projects.
Check that there are no builds in the project that are old or not needed. Builds tend to be very large if coming from a large project.
Delete the saved folder. This should pose no risk to the functionality of the level. the saved folder will rebuild once you start the project again and start filling up with auto saves and other data.
Create a brand new project that is the same type -FPS-ThirdPerson- etc...
Do not include starter content - if you are using starter content it should still migrate those assets over to this project.
Open the original project and select your latest level. Right click on it and go to Asset Actions --Migrate.
Check that the Asset List is accurate and once you continue select the brand new project and select the Content folder.
Migration should only take a minute or less. Look for errors popping up in case it could not migrate some assets. Open new project and play to ensure it works 100%. The size should be drastically reduced.
