Regular expressions are a powerful tool for developers. Unfortunately, the syntax of regular expressions can be difficult to master, making them intimidating to beginners. RegEx Race provides a fun environment for beginners to familiarize themselves with the syntax of regular expressions, and an opportunity for more seasoned developers to sharpen their skills.

The retro-arcade world of RegEx Race is rendered by Phaser.io, a popular JavaScript game engine. Regular expression challenges, user accounts, and community features are incorporated into the game through the use of Angular, Express, Sequelize, and Node.

Users have the ability to track their progress, earn badges, and submit their own problems for potential inclusion in the game.
