GAMR is a universal gamification platform for group-based tasks where players can compete with their friends to earn points and ultimately monetary rewards. Domestic chores serve as an exemplary use case for a GAMR game. In this example, roommates elect a commissioner to create a game and assign point values to different chores. At the beginning of the game, players contribute a pre-determined pledge amount to a pot. At the end of the game, the pot is distributed pro-rata based on the points each player accumulated during the game. So, the roommate who truly cleans more than the rest will finally be recognized and rewarded for their hard work. In this way, GAMR incentivizes everyone to clean, and resolves any potential dispute by fairly compensating those who do more work around the house.
