Curze's rule over his Legion was marked by his descent into madness and nihilism. He was haunted by visions of the future, known as the "Nostraman Curse," which showed him the chaos and anarchy that would befall the Imperium. As the Horus Heresy unfolded, Curze's troubled nature led him to make choices that further isolated him from his fellow primarchs and the Emperor. His methods became increasingly extreme, involving excessive violence and torture. He even resorted to purging his own Legion, viewing them as reflections of his own darkness.

In the later stages of the Heresy, Curze confronted his brother, Lion El'Jonson, primarch of the Dark Angels, in a bitter conflict that ended with Curze's assassination. The Emperor had sent an assassin to end Curze's reign of terror, recognizing the dangers he posed to the Imperium.

Curze's legacy lived on after his death, as the Night Lords Legion continued to exist in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, forever associated with their enigmatic and tormented primarch, Konrad Curze. His story serves as a cautionary tale of the destructive power of darkness and the consequences of embracing one's inner demons.
