Remarkable Story Of Britain's Leading Paraplegic Athlete | Pushing the Limits | Only Human
Mark Ecclestone was a 16 year old sports fanatic, about to embark on a professional rugby career, when his dreams were suddenly shattered by a fateful accident. Falling from a haystack, he was severely disabled and lost the use of his legs.
This film tells of his remarkable strength of spirit, the only thing which stopped him from giving in to his disability. Mark’s determination led him to become one of Britain’s leading paraplegic athletes. He held the World No 1 spot for wheelchair tennis for fourteen months and went on to win a silver medal in the Athens Paralympics in 2004.
With footage of their on and off-court antics, filmed by Mark and his boisterous team-mates, this film shows disability need not be a barrier to either sporting success of booze fuelled fun! This is a hugely motivating story which reassesses how we view those with disability and how the human spirit is capable of continually pushing the limits .
