Jarrod walks you through the Neo Geo Pocket Color from SNK. It was originally released in August 1999 and is a vastly underrated handheld. It features a great thumb-stick, no back-light which makes visibility impossible without a light source, but provides excellent gaming for hours on two AA batteries. About the only way to improve on this handheld would have been to have a back-light, but given the year it was released it likely would have caused the battery life to collapse.
If you're looking for a great portable with a kick ass library of fighters and other great games, hit up eBay and pick up a Neo Geo Pocket Color for around $60 to $100 with games!
