We found an old ore cart at a really remote, abandoned mine that, as far as we know, hadn't been seen by a human in decades until we found it! Tony and Jeremy joined me for this out-of-the-way exploration to this hidden mine site up stashed up in the mountains. In this video, Tony demonstrates his revolver before we turn off the trail and start bushwhacking up a steep hill through extremely dense brush and vegetation in order to reach the obscure, abandoned mine. It was very difficult and slow-going. Along the way we encountered a California Glossy Snake and fire ants! It was easy to spot the ore cart once we emerged from the dense vegetation and brush and found ourselves on a tailings pile. There was also a tunnel entrance nearby, but it was badly eroded. After careful consideration of the tunnel, we decided not to enter it and go underground because it was just too sketchy and too dangerous.
