Previously I made a challenge run through Starcraft II, using only units that were carried over from the first game. Between that and endlessly ribbing into SC2 because of the decline in writing, the desire to experience the original again increased. There is only so often you can say "Man, the first game did this better." before you just just do it and dive back into it.

And what an amazing game it is. Sure, the pathfinding is mid at the best of times and it lacks some quality of life features like setting the rally point directly on minerals.
But damn, everything else? Just gold. From the moment the first notes of the menu theme hit, you are pulled in for a ride that few other games can rival. Despite its age, this game is still one of the best RTS ever created.

So let's experience the start of the saga here, with the Terran campaign. The Zerg attack the Terran fringe worlds and the Confederacy's corruption and mismanagement drives Raynor and his companions to join the Sons of Korhal under Mengsk, also having that fateful first meeting with Sarah Kerrigan. But are the Sons or Korhal really the freedom fighters they present themselves as?
