Today’s episode is Windows Longhorn Build 5048 running inside macOS Mojave using VMware Fusion.

Windows Longhorn Build 5048 is a pre-Beta 1 build of Windows Vista. It is the official Longhorn Developer Preview, which was released to attendants of WinHEC 2005 on 24 April 2005.

This build also features the legendary Red Screen of Death, which can be triggered by deleting system32 on Command Prompt. This wasn’t present on builds above 5048.

This build also features the brand new “Aero” theme, which is a completely different Longhorn theme than Plex and Jade.
