I was working in my garage when I heard a faint noise. Behind my generator I found little Beeboo. After putting on gloves and gently capturing her. I tried setting her free. She could not fly and the dilemma came. Knowing that just leaving her to walk around would result in doom from predators and cars. I recaptured her and called a friend to lend me their unused bird cage. After settling in, i began talking to her and letting her know she is safe. Beeboo allowed me to pick her up and fed her with a diet consisting of raisins, wild bird seeds, and wet tuna cat food. Later, I purchased some night crawlers from the bait shop. She enjoyed this very much. So far I believe her species to be a Florida Sora. My goal is to help her get stronger so she can fly away and be free. \nI am already looking forward to the day she fly's away knowing I helped little Beeboo get a second chance.\n***Updates and tracking Beeboo's journey until release can be seen on my Google Plus\n\n***** 2/18/12 Beeboo was set free. She was a great temporary addition to our household but I've always wanted her to be free after her rehab was complete. Love is wanting the BEST for your loved ones..and the Best thing was for Beeboo to be free and fly. Someone once suggested I should keep her as a pet...That is a very selfish thing to do and frankly the wrong thing to do..I am not capable of either.
