REmake 2 is hotness. Even though I would have preferred RE8, the revamped gameplay of 2 is pretty awesome. Each bullet and goodie matters. Zombies are a threat. Lickers are an extreme threat. And of course good old Mr X to chase you too instead of just being grenade fodder like in the original.

+ Pretty good graphics and re-imaging of RE2
+ Gameplay has a lot of changes so it's actually a new game with the old games story
+ Multiple campaigns with altered loadouts and starts
+ Able to use the original game's music.
+ Enemies are a major threat, at least on Hardcore
+ Lots of unlockables from playing different ways

-No co-op
- No battle mode or mercenaries or raid mode.
-Ghost Survivors is pretty weak imo
