0The longest chapter in the entire game, I think.
Once you have Ashley, head back towards the courtyard with the dogs. Remember the locked door with the tall window nearby the fountain? Now you can access it with Ashley. Head over there and grab the items in the chest and you will be rewarded with the Broken Butterfly magnum. Not too bad!
Head back to the beginning of the chapter and then through the door at the north. You'll separate from Ashley as you will cross the lava onto the trolley. IN the next room, take out the tree ships. Two of which will begin descending immediately and grab the treasures. Jump on the cage then head down the stairwell and take out the nearby ganados. At the far end is the last treasure guarded by the third ship. What you want to do is start on one end and as soon as the fire starts, run to the other and take him out with your pistol. The ship will drop and you can now get the final key item needed to unlock the stone door at the beginning of the castle.
Reunite with Ashley and take the trolley back to the entrance of the castle and insert the three pieces needed for the horseman picture. Take the right to find 5000 PTAS above the stairwell, then head through the door at the front with Ashley. Again, another trolley right will bring you to the next section.
Each side will contain a chalice needed to unlock the door at the far north hallway. For the right side, head east then dodge two QTE knights and leave Ashley outside (or bring her in if you have the knight outfit). Grab the chalice and immediately the door will lock as three knights come after you. Shoo their heads to expose the parasite and when all three have the parasite, throw a Flash Grenade to kill them at once. After that, another round of black knights will come out. Do the same as you did to the white knights and then take your rewards and leave.
Back in the main lobby, head west and you'll need to step on all four stones. Use the two statues and then command Ashley to "Wait" on one and you run to the other to activate all four. The door will open but before you enter, you can shoot the four red dots atop the ceiling to deactivate the trap before entering. Watch the small cutscene and then exit the room. When you run down the hall, again Ashley will be sectioned off. You need to shoot the two ganados running the drill, which shouldn't be a problem. Once they're dead, the door will open as you can now grab the nearby chalice and exit the room.
Back in the main lobby, head north. A group of ganados with scythes and shields await. Toss a grenade to take them out and then place the chalices in their proper order. Head north and then if you want, head out the window instead through the second tall door as you should find a ladder. Climb up it and at the end will be another Butterfly Lamp treasure. If you want, you can also take down the Novistadore Hive or just jump down. Head around the bend and Ashley will be taken away.
Immediately throw a grenade to stun the nearby Novistadores. Once they're all dead, turn the lever nearby and shoot the two chains to let the bridge down. Head into the room with a merchant and keep heading north and soon you'll reach a bridge connecting to a building. Catapults will be launched, dodge them and then up the stairwell and into the door facing them, but be careful.
Once inside, destroy the three blocks and then climb up to turn the lever and activate the switch to change the bridge's position. Head back down and kill the ganados nearby and then out the door on the opposite side. A group of enemies will be waiting. Take them all out and then head through the door once that's done with.
For the two Garradors, either use the Rocket Launcher you saved or keep your distance like I did. The trick is to take out the remaining enemies before either can attack you. Once everyone else is dead, they should be a breeze. Head north after killing them and you'll get a small scene with Leon before being dropped down.
Collect the nearby items and once at the merchant, BUY THE STRIKER. Best shotgun in the game and you can do the Ditman Glitch. If you already used your Rocket Launcher, buy another. Head up the ladder and through the doors.
You need to activate the power for the elevator. Run all the way down to flip the switch and Verdugo will appear. Throw the CO2 tank on the ground to freeze him and then fire the rocket to kill him. Collect the treasure and the elevator should work. Head back and on the elevator to end the chapter.
