Resident Evil 4 - Trial Version (Interactive Multi-Demo Disc Vol. 22 - GameCube)
6This is the demo version that was released from the multi-demo disc released by Nintendo to promote upcoming games in 2004. Although it takes place in the first part of the village, there are some unique differences compared to the final version. The inventory menu is similar to the classic Resident Evil series and the map layout was redesigned to give the old feel. The HUD is close to the final version where it has a static health meter since there are no yellow herbs to extended Leon's health in the demo. In addition, Leon's speaks in a deeply manner and the villagers speak in different quotes. Hunnigan does not appear in this demo. Leon's interaction with the enemies are slightly different and there are no action sequences given on screen although it is possible to do so.
It is also possible to unlock the machine gun in this demo if the player collects 30000 pts in game. It is only evident in the Japanese version so far.
The game has a hidden time limit as it will return to the disc's main menu automatically.
The demo also include a trailer which was not rendered properly on the latest Dolphin emulator while recording here. It was also released on the preview disc which featured all of the previously released Resident Evil games for GameCube.
The entire gameplay was done on Dolphin, a GameCube/Wii emulator and was recorded with Fraps. This video was edited and finalized with Sony Vegas Pro 10.
