This if the fastest chapter in the game if you have the infinite rocket launcher or a few spare rocket launchers.

The boss is slow and predictable, when it's tentacles go either right up to the front of the platform and glow bright or curl all the way across the front of the platform then it's about to attack which can be dodged with hitting A for the glowing one and X for the swing, you kill it without the rocket launcher by using the sattelite gun on the wall which Sheva points out in single player, take out the tentacles then the core, you can slow down the tentacles by shooting them until they lose the orange colour, it's a long battle but it's almost impossible to die, the little sludge things drop plenty of herbs too.
