A new event is heading to Smash Bros Ultimate this week when spirits based on characters from Resident Evil will be making an appearance in the game. While this doesn't completely remove any of these characters from being added to Smash Bros as a fighter, the general feeling right now is Nintendo could look elsewhere for the next fighter now. Phil Spencer was asked about VR in an interview and in response he made some VR fans mad, even leading to Sony responding.
