Resident Evil Survivor - PS1 - Full Game Longplay - (2000) - Retro Nostalgia
6Today we are looking at a full play through of Resident Evil Survivor on the Sony PlayStation. Release Date: 2000
Game difficulty set to Easy, which I regret, I should have done normal. I just wasn't sure what level of jank to expect.
This was my first time ever playing Survivor. It has a cool choose your own path mechanic which results in a slightly different playthrough depending on which doors you enter. So what you see in this video is definitely not all the game has to offer.
I also wanted to mention that If there is a way to reload guns outside of the inventory during combat I couldn't find it, so if its possible it won't be shown in this vid. You may also notice that I hump a lot of walls, but that's how you interact with objects and doors so you kind of have to :(
The clunky controls don't help the situation much and lack of light gun support is a missed opportunity. Also I feel like you could probably run past most of the enemies if you wanted to. AND the dogs in the game suck, such a pain to hit with the sluggish cross hair movement.
With all the complaining out of the way, I'd just like to say that I actually really enjoyed my play through. The voice acting is a sight to behold and just playing an RE in first person should be experienced.
A few minor edits were made to this play through for times sake. I sped up the menuing during the game to 2X speed, cause its painfully slow. This literally shaved like 7 mins off the video lol. Also a couple edits where I had to quit playing and save.
Anyway, this is by far my longest upload to date. I'll have a Highlight montage on its way in a couple days in case you would rather check out the abridged version.
