Resident Evil Survivor released on the Sony PlayStation on the 27th January 2000 to poor sales and even worse critical reception. Its the first spin off entry for the series and they certainly took some brave design decisions by moving it to first person and fusing it with light-gun style shooting.

This review marks the first time i'd ever experienced it and my goal is to show what works, what doesn't and ultimately answer the question; is it really as bad as everyone makes out?
