An estimated 20 hours 49 minutes to beat based off recordings (lost some footage). The end game screen says, "11 hours 36 Minutes". I assume alot of media outlets quoted this number when talking about the game length, but you can see its very far off the mark. Hardcore does require more careful playing but it felt more like a normal mode to me. Games have just gotten much easier. Hardcore mode is a nice starting mode for players who are familiar with action games. I reccomend starting on that mode, as I didnt have alot of deaths on the mode but still had to play carefully. Final boss was the most challenging part and took a little under an hour. Not too hard but you have to have an idea of how to counter her various moves. The hardest part is actually in the early game on Hardcore mode, surviving a rush of enemies in the village. Thats the footage I lost. Recorcding cut off when the credits started but all the game content is shown.
Great game overall. Reminds me alot of RE 4. Much better gameplay than 7. Next I will start up on Village Of Shadows Mode (hardest mode) on New Game Plus. That means all my gear carries over, upgrades, etc. I will not be using the infinite ammo unlocks as that would remove all the challenge. I will also be playing the Mercenaries mode soon.
