Note 3: The keyboard has very far travel, and is actually very enjoyable to type on.

Processor 3.8

=====================
This can be very exciting for many reasons. One, the chance of finding a laptop in near mint condition in a dumpster is almost as low as getting a win from a lottery ticket, very rare and lucky. The Dell Latitude D430 had been rescued and restored by me to a functional workhorse condition, inside and out. This is the second reason for excitement, as this is an 18-year-old laptop. While this laptop has an extremely slow 1.8-inch ZIF hard drive, everything else is intact. The hard drive has been tested to be fully functional with no bad sectors. The 18-year-old battery holds 2 hours of runtime, not bad at all for its age. The keyboard and the LCD screen are in pristine condition. Besides a few cosmetic scratches on the body, this laptop is in near perfect condition. The third reason for excitement is the ability to use an antique as a fully functional computer in 2025. Windows 7 has been outdated for decades, yet I am able to run many applications on it just fine. I already have a deep understanding why Linux is trash, and full of lies, but was still tempted to give it another try, and had installed and tested 3 Linux distros on this laptop; They are Puppy, Mint and Bodhi. As expected, Linux OS is all trash, slow and unusable. On the other hand, Windows 7 runs much smoother once booted on this machine. In conclusion, if your computer can't run Windows 7, then installing Linux will not save it at all.
Second, the D430 is actually a high end business-class laptop, the ultrabook of the netbook era. Therefore, both the build quality and design are very good. Dell and Lenovo are two of the computer brands that I am only interested in, so despite the slowness of the laptop, I will use it to create something cool. The keyboard is not as good as my other Lenovo laptops, but it's special, antique and good enough. Restoring this computer is not just about being able to reinstall some software; the whole computer has been stripped and cleaned completely. Software can't solve a hardware problem. Don't believe the obvious lies from the obnoxious Linux communities. They are all cunts. To them, you either install Linux or throw the old computer away. No third option at all. Linux can be used as an educational tool for learning computer science, for research and curiosity purposes, but as a functional computer for normal tasks, it's completely garbage. Honest people will never recommend Linux OS to beginners.
Alright, my lovely viewers, that's all for now.
I truly hope you enjoy the rest of this video of me disassembling this laptop, and that the rest of your day is absolutely fabulous — filled with good energy, good vibes, and maybe just a little bit of glitter.
You are amazing, never forget that.
Until next time — see you later, alligator. Stay sweet, stay sparkly, and take care.
Bye, beautiful.
