Restoring & Upgrading My First Console! - OG Xbox Softmod Update, Cleaning, TSOP Flash, and More!
2,750Behold! My first console! I've created a multitude of original Xbox related tutorials and casual upgrade videos such as this, but this console here is special as it's the first one I ever owned. Purchased in late 2001, never opened up, and eventually softmodded, I knew I had to give this console a good cleaning and make sure it will continue to run for several more years. On the to-do list going in was cleaning it all up, removing that killer clock capacitor, and at minimum updating the old softmod which was sitting on the hard drive. This was definitely another fun video to work on, and I'm feeling much better knowing that my childhood console has been properly protected for future use!
The following modifications were performed on this console:
- Clock Capacitor Removal
- Upgrade to Xbox Softmodding Tool
- Nulled HDD Key
- TSOP Flashed with X2 BIOS
- HDD Upgraded to 250 GB
