“Resuscitation” Flushed Dreams, Life Diluted, Time Lost In Stream (01-11-2024)(Cinematic)(Demo)(🅰️i)

A whirl a creating a cinematic by creating a story line and sketching on my iPad what I wanted it all to look like. Using 🅰️i as a creative tool, a camera, a canvas to actively shape refine and react to what is being calculated, averaged out, generated. This clip has been written, edited and directed and it feels like a video story board, art for something I came up with, a feeling, an idea and thoughts that I wanted to communicate.
Motto: Parents ageing, getting sick or dying, friends getting sick or dying, the older you become the more you need to deal with it. Life is fleeting, enjoy it while it lasts and don’t dilute it to binary like/dislike dopamine rushes on some type of screen (social media). Yet somtimes it’s all you have. make the most of it. Connect and interact! That makes it social and real!
I see generative A.I. as a tool to be used and steered by people and it doesn’t know when it is correct or mistaken, it doesn’t unerstand but it predicts and combines but in itself is still clueless. A fascinating thing to experiment with and see what it can do. Yet creating things bottom up doing it yourself is more fun, more mindful, more real. Viewing origial art made by people is nicer than a recombined A.I. generated something that just bobs up and down and really doesn’t go anywhere, has no intent or purpose. Is it more interesting to watch when a person takes control and literally steers it in small steps where it needs to go and what it needs to show?
The orinality, intent, purpose, emtions, goals and understanding is my doing. The tools used aren’t capable of that yet. And using these tools makes it more clear what generative A.I. is and what it isn’t and how we get fooled into thinking that something is there that there’s not - not yet anyway.
I like using basic tools and using A.I. to only generate the smallest snippets if things for me to use, like coming up with a Lego design with me thinking about the buildin bricks and creating the bricks in A.I. like one would use real life maker-tools. It also is a bit like creating a demo scene demo, with the a.i. prompt as a rudimenary programming language creating routines from lines of code building up the demo as a cohesive bigger thing.
Things used:
Human brain, myself
iPad Air / iPhone 16
BING image Generator: using specific prompts to create more realistic visuals than my sketches. This resulted in a set of stills of the “shots and scenes” I was happy with.
LUMA video Generator: creating shorter and longer clips with start and end clips, loops and additional prompt input
iMovie: Putting al the clips in sequence, leaving out, adding things in, reordering and adding leaving out some more. Audio mixing is very rudimentary basically cut, paste, trim, move
Epidemic Sounds: licensed tracks you can select using prompt for mood, genre, length etc. Selecting and downloading and viewing, reviewing audio with the visuals. When it clicks it clicks and when it doesn’t search some more.
Note on the visuals: All the scenes created are stylized, not realistic, on the images created I can state that they are entirely generated from prompt and no real photos or video has been used, any resemblance to an actual individual purely coincidental.
Enjoy, or not? That’s up to you and thanks for watching, Mark
