0Retchid is an awesome immersive, atmospheric, and methodically paced First Person Shooter in development. It's heavily inspired by Doom 3, great level design with shortcuts looping back into areas you've already been to. Retchid has some survival horror vibes but more resembles Quake 4 (in terms of arsenal) and Doom 3 (in terms of visual language, mechanics, and overall vibe). This is a great shooter aiming to recreate the early 2000s era of FPS gameplay. There is a good amount of exploration and problem-solving to do with minimal handholding, which is generally good but could use some work to improve a bit. For instance, locations are very well labeled, but objective descriptions don't include those labels when they could. Sometimes the backtracking needed for some objectives led to confusion because you really weren't sure you should be backtracking at all. But I'm still loving it despite these flaws, looking forward to the developers fixing them and seeing what they do next! Hope you enjoy my video.
