In this episode of Retro Flashback, I take a look at F-Zero for the SNES through the Wii U's Virtual Console system. I also showcase the additional features and benefits you get from playing a title through this system as opposed to the original format. You'll notice that this video is actually in 720p and that's because the Wii U actually provides a certain amount of HD upscaling for its Virtual Console offerings. Most of my videos don't benefit from being in HD so I don't encode them that way but in this case, there are differences to be seen.
F-Zero can be purchased digitally on both the Wii and Wii U Virtual Console which can be accessed through their respective online stores. Note that you only get the game on the platform you purchased it on, you will have to purchase it again to play it on the other so choose wisely. If you have a Wii U (and you should), it is absolutely the version to buy.
