Retro Gaming Capture Test 4 Part 2 | Sony PlayStation 2 Slim
More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.
With my new rig layout almost complete and with it being much easier to get at the HDMI outputs and having the mClassic to hand now, there are a number of other combinations I can try out easily to see if it is a good option in the future for various platforms. With the only test done on my Sony PlayStation Slim so far being with a cheap and not that great convertor and my PS2 collection growing fast, this was the next step to seeing what capture qualities are possible. So same convertor to get to HDMI and one of the games being the same as the first test for comparison as well as a few others for a better range of images to look at, I look at the slightly improved quality and the advantage of being able to easily change the aspect ratio for each game as and when I think it is ideal. Overall I would say a little better than the previous test, probably will have some lag, but the picture is quite a lot better and other options will be explored for this console to see what else is possible.
