9Retro video gaming is making a resurgence in the world. it has been for awhile. but lately it has been growing larger in the community of gamers. People are getting tired of the open world concepts, overly complicated tool systems and the lack of having finished games these days. People are talking about being tired o bug fixes and DLC issues. DLC issues being extra unneeded content or extra levels or fixes. So people are getting there hands on retro consoles or newer handheld consoles that can play retro games like the Steam-deck! people are loving the concept of playing completed games, no DLC needed and playing a perfect game with bugs that were left behind. It seems to me people are getting tired of these newer games and are losing interest in newer games coming out and this is hurting the big game companies. because these big game companies don't make money off the secondary market of retro games. Remastering old games has become a bit popular for companies like Nintendo to do and others like Xbox are going the same. Trying to combat the secondary market. because companies are a living entity try to survive an ever changing world. And we can look at Magic the gathering in the same vein, they are creating new sets all the time, but what sells the sets a lot is the reprints. Good reprints catch people's attention. on top of new cards that just pop. Truth is Wizards of the coast don't make money on the secondary market, so they must combat it by touching on the retro content or cards while trying to spice up the newer market.
