#RetroArch Shaders are efficient graphics filters that can greatly improve the rendering of old games.

They can also be used to replicate the look and feel of old CRT monitors.

You can even stack them to create your own effect. The possibilities are infinite.

We've used NTSC shaders with latest version of RetroArch. You can find them under "shaders_slang - NTSC" folder. NTSC filters replicate the analog signals that the console's output to the TV. They vary in quality, with the lowest quality being RF, then composite, then s-video and RGB (SCART)/YPbPr (Component) being the highest quality.
