The NG+ bootstrap problem is simple: Farsyte has a basic ship and decent armor that he'd rather not be seen in, no weapons, no ammunition, no first aid items ... I decided to improve things all around by running around Vectera and Kreet for a bit, accumulating junk to sell and, maybe, some things to gear myself up.
