Returning from the Trial Run / Outpost: Infinity Siege / part 9
Since it is the first time this outpost has been deployed that makes it the trial run. If there is one thing this design has it is an abundance of turrets in smaller calibres. I think the design relies on heavily on offensive weight, what armouring there is is there to delay hostiles that get too close.
Admittedly my usual approach is to treat the base like a backstop, the last line of defence while relying on forward positions for the bulk of extraction day. It is a habit that means the base is not thoroughly tested (something I will come to regret later) and has little to do. Well... there were supposed to be some gate-crashers dropping in during extraction, but I can't say I ever saw them.
Also, sorry for this coming out a day later than planned; the rendering I set up to run while I was out did not finish properly. But that did give me a chance for some last-minute edits before release.
