π¨π Reverse: 1999 - First Look at 2.1 Update, New Garments and Tempted for Tuesday??? (ft. Barbara)ππ¨
Another update, and here we are at 2.1, Texas edition!
Ahhhh the closer Tuesday's banner got to arriving, the more interested I was in her, to the point I may have spent more than 10 Unilogs. The Moxie, the Poison, that was interesting to me. However, I need to stay focused on the Vila rerun and the eventual 2.2 Update with Anjo Nala, so even though it may hurt to skip Tuesday, I just hope things will turn out fine. I just need to hope that Vila's rerun doesn't cost too much so that I can still comfortably go into Anjo Nala's banner very prepared!
Side note, I think I will just try and stick to 10 rolls for Argus' eventual arrival too (unless she slowly draws me in like Tuesday was). While she looks awesome too, and I grew to really appreciate her in the story, if I don't get her in 10 Summons, that's it, which sucks but I need to come into 2.2 prepared...
As for 2.1, we saw some new stuff like Garments, more A Series of Dusks, a special edition of Mane's Bulletin to come, and of course, the Tuesday/Barbara banner. Embarrassingly, I only just realised why she is called "Barbara". Because...sheep...baaaa. I'm slow...
About the garments though, Isolde's Advanced Garment blew me away since I first heard of it on the CN side, the new Voice Lines suited to a more jazzy/blues feel rather than opera was so cool to me, and it was just amazing in my opinion! I'm glad she is getting that awesome treatment (also kind of ironic given a certain 2.4 garment too!). Meanwhile, "Yee-Haw!" as Ezra's Garment suggests, I love the whole cowboy theme there. We also have Blonney with her guns (also getting her Anecdote later this update), very noice Roar Jukebox look, and then we have TTT, all 3 TV screens intact for this waitress-esque theme, although as the full illustration would suggest, maybe Drive-In sounds more appropriate since she doesn't have to awkwardly move about (how does that even work with her anyway?).
For the new characters, Tuesday is very very scary, the child she is holding in her cloth, the motel, and after reading the story, oh my god what is even happening anymore. I will say though, the accent is so cool to listen to. But why is she so spooky aaaaaaaaa.
Barbara, while not particularly focused on her as she is a 5 Star, she seems very pleasant, even if she is used to people being nervous of her at first. It seems that she is an editor for UTTU which is a pretty cool detail (I learned it wasn't pronounced "U-T-T-U", you could say it in two syllables). Maybe we'll see more of Barbara beyond the 2.1 stuff? Who knows.
And then we have Argus, the mercenary who is so cool, just doing her job, and has a sweet tooth for Picrasma Candy. Unfortunately, she has vision problems although her arcane ability allows one of her eyes to shine an emerald glow which is awesome. I wouldn't mind getting lucky with her at all, but only time will tell with that!
If only some of the events before/the start of this update took place on a Tuesday. Oh well! Still, this was all rather fun in my opinion and even though I'm excited for 2.2 as it's a big one, I'm also excited for what this update has in store with the other stuff beyond the event story!
