Oh Isolde, what a fascinating, tragic, mesmerising character, where to begin with her...I guess with how extremely fortunate I was with pulling her in only 10 Summons while waiting for Lucy, and those were going to be my only 10 as well. I didn't think much of it, although I heard great things about her leading up to 1.7's arrival, but I am so so thankful to have been lucky with her, because she has been such a wonderful part of my teams the last few months, and I don't know what alternatives I would have gone with back then.

But then we have Chapter 6, the Isolde show, featuring Kakania, Marcus, Greta Hofmann and more. Genuinely blew me away with what went down in that chapter, from the twists and turns, to the sad moments, to the insane moments, and of course, Isolde's performances, mainly the one in her Insight II outfit, and I remember when I heard the performance and was very fixated on it all. This also takes me to the Voice Actor, Ella Jones Farlinger, and it's not just the voice acting, but also the incredible singing too, such as in that Chapter 6 cutscene as mentioned before. I also remember having parts of it replay again because I was so transfixed by it and it just goes to show how much I loved it, despite all the eeriness. But yes, the mix of speaking and singing is why Isolde might have one of my favourite VAs in the game. I think I'd still choose Regulus overall, but this one really gives that a run for its money. In short, Isolde has another of many wonderful VAs, with wonderful lines such as:

"You've come to see me again. You'll see me tonight, tomorrow, and every day after that, won't you? After all, I'm a patient. I'll be weak and fragile even when I get better, so keep an eye on me and don't let me faint unnoticed ... I hope I won't be a nuisance to you ..."


There is more where that came from though! But yes, what a great character in a great game, and in 2.1, Isolde will be getting a new garment which from what I have seen is possibly one of my favourite ones I have seen, like for her to take on more of a blues/jazzy role as opposed to opera, as well as new voice lines that reflects that whole blues/jazz aesthetic, and I am looking forward to that!

I think the next ones up for these kinds of video will have to be Lucy and Yenisei I think. Kakania's time may come soon too. I'd like to get more of these out as well as others, but we'll see how that all turns out. Here is to more of these and other videos!
