"I, robot, child of science."

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy! I have absolutely loved the buildup, the wait, the anticipation, the hype and the delivery of the 1.9 update as a whole! While becoming aware of her back in the "The Star" interlude, between Chapters 4 and 5, I would also go on to learn of Madam Lucy being the second Limited Character 3 updates after Jiu Niangzi, the first Limited character, and might still remain the most powerful character in the game!

With that said, Madam Lucy not only having all the perks of Limited-ness (Home Screen Intro for example) as well as the additional option to switch between her two faces. The both garments have the normal robot look, with an option when she has electrical energy in her hand allowing you to select her "human" face, whereas touching her face reverts back to the default robot face. As for the default garment, Lucy has the human face, but the hair stays the same, whereas the Insight II one gives her a shirt she wears a white shirt instead of her coat, with the face change here also changing her hair. Personally I really like the darker hair in the Insight II human look more, but I think it's very fun that it feels like you can choose between 4 looks instead of 2, despite technically having 2 garments (like a 2 x 2 situation thanks to her face change feature).

1.9 was what felt like such an exceptional time in terms of how much fun I had, and Lucy played such a massive part in it! From her involvement and progress in Chapter 7 (no spoilers!), to the experience of spending 130 Summons initially, and I would have gone for the 200 to get myself an extra copy, but because a certain doctor ate up a little too much of my Unilogs, I couldn't reach that point, although I'm thankful that I still managed to get both units! As for Lucy specifically, I had managed to summon her two times which I am very happy with! I went on to desperately get more copies of her, and while it was to no avail, I'm still very very happy with her, and funnily enough I may consider more of her should she ever get a rerun!


Now for Lucy as a character herself. Despite being a robot, she is actually rather endearing in her own way, and while she tries to connect with humans and not be out of touch with them, it might not always work. However, she keeps improving in that regard, similar to her everlasting pursuit of progress, everlasting for over a century actually, from being a mere piston to the Lucy we see today! Lucy also constantly needs to check her battery levels which I'm sure some of us can relate to, albeit in a different way since we are humans, but more-so with our devices for example. When all is said and done, it's like what Lucy says after a battle: "And now to return to my long-term mission: "rest"." Rest is nice to do, especially when it's earned!

As for her Voice Actor, we have Hayden Rose who encapsulates how a robot would speak, but the voice never gets boring for me! It's a very different take on a character in this game, since other units in this game are either humans or Arcanists, but then we have an Awakened like the lovable Lucy who I have enjoyed being part of my teams as the robot and child of science! I wonder if characters like Jiu and Madam Lucy will ever get new garments, but I wonder if that's because it's going to be something special, maybe a 1.9 Regulus-esque one. Still, I like Lucy the way she is, even if Lucy wants to progress further! Ok never mind, although I do have to commend John Titor's VA.

In this video, I also show off how she looks in the Wilderness. I love the crossed-arms look as she goes up in the elevator and onto her chair briefly. Her trailer which features Medicine Pocket and Simone also show Lucy in a more goofy light which adds to her being endearing, and

I'm not sure what other Lucy videos to share here, but still, such a wonderful character! I think the next time I do a voice lines video, it will probably be for Yenisei. There is more where that came from, but yeah, that's this video! Yes Madam Lucy, you really are beloved by many! Less clanking, more progress and rest!
