Today, we are taking a look at Asteroids on the Atari 2600. Asteroids was released in 1981 for the Atari 2600 and went on to sell 3 million copies. It has since been released on many platforms and Atari Games collections.

In Asteroids, you are the lone pilot of a ship in space sent on a mission to destroy Asteroids before they reach earth. Each time you shoot an Asteroid, it blows up into smaller Asteroids.

Controls are simple enough, you move around with the stick and fire with the big red button. Pushing up on the controller thrusts your ship forward and pulling back causes it to randomly warp.
