Revisiting the First Animated Witherstorm Addon
34We took a deep dive at the first Animated Witherstorm Addon by 鸥吃鱼 (Ouchiyu) which was posted in MCPEDL if you want to try it out or reminisce.
This addon was posted 5 years ago April 03, 2020 bringing the hype for both Minecraft bedrock players and MS:CM Witherstorm fans during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It raises popularity among other Minecraft players and even inspires them to make their own version. Some called it the Best Witherstorm Addon or the First Animated Witherstorm Addon after Jujustyle7's Witherstorm in 2018.
The creator of this addon gave permission to the fans to remake it. The Fan remake of this addon received major and minor changes like adding more stages, death animation, items, Severed Witherstorms, bug fixes, support in 1.17, etc. Until it was discontinued around 2021-2022 because the creator prohibited them to continue updating fan remake for specific reasons, leaving at Version 22.
This addon had an official V3 but it was limited to other players. Leaving people to wonder when it will be released. Some were begging, some got it, some failed. I was one of the few, but to no avail.
Today 鸥吃鱼 (Ouchiyu) Witherstorm Addon remains one of the best Witherstorm Addon ever existed. While it's being left out now, we should not forget the joy it brings to all of us during the Pandemic.
