Rex plays XCOM: Enemy Within #14 - Blackout is home again after a stressful week away
7Last week was quite a mixed experience. Though we aced the council mission, we had a super stressful time in the covert op. In the council mission we were tasked to get some “cargo” from a van in France. Well It turned out that this cargo was in fact a person and an unusual person at that. There must be some reason the aliens are after her. It’s clear that she’s got potential to be a great soldier too. She also mentioned that we had to save her friends too. Who knows if they can help the team?
On the other hand, the covert op was quite the tester. As usual, we started out on the opposite side of the map from our agent, Sgt. Mohammad “Blackout” Farouk. Our primary mission was to keep him safe and bring him home. Well, we were horrified to find that the EXALT soldiers were not engaging our squad, but instead made a beeline towards Blackout apparently trying to take him out. It was all we could do to save him from certain death. We’re very glad he’s in the hospital for four days instead of in the morgue. So is his mom.
So, what’s coming up? We’re building several advanced aircraft, ones capable of shooting down even the largest UFO. We’re building a hyperwave relay and will scan using it once it is complete. We hope to find out more about the superiors the aliens are reporting to.
We’re still hoping to capture a Beserker.
