Rhapsody for Huqin Quartet No. 2 (Original) [Audio] (二胡 Erhu String Quartet) [Stringanza]
Rhapsody for Huqin Quartet No. 2 was written about 10 years after the first rhapsody and is in a way a continuation of its initial theme, concepts and ideas. Instead of “clouds” like in the first rhapsody, this piece is inspired by nature, and in particular, the strength of nature to develop and grow from a single cell. Thus, this piece starts and grow from an initial motif presented in the very beginning, with it returning occasionally in various manners, hinting slightly at a rondo form.
