Rhome is a very interesting experience. The entirety of the game is completed in just under 20 minutes, but in that short time, you're thrust into a new environment, a mystery is presented, your expectations are subverted, the mystery is solved, and you're left with a feeling of tranquility. I think each beat only lasting a couple minutes really helped in delivering Rhome's intended feelings; nothing lasted too long and I was kept wholly engaged the entire time.

I'm not gonna pretend Rhome was life-changing or incredible by any stretch of the imagination, but I think it's a solid little palate cleanser. I enjoyed the main character piecing together what had happened and making sense of her situation, and the house shifting in and of itself was visually gripping; though the game takes place entirely in just her house, the shifting and maze-like structure prevented me from tiring of it.

This is the type of short game I'm into; it has a story to tell, and knows how to accomplish it in a short time. I could easily see something like this being used as the plot for a short film or something along those lines; from beginning to end, I was satisfied.
