Riders of Icarus - 10 - Basic Crafting
8In the last episode we briefly touched upon crafting and in this episode we will continue with our Introduction to Craftin. What I have learned so far is that if you are serious about crafting, then you should collect all the materials you see in the world. Stop at every mushroom, copper and silver spawn, since you will be needing all the materials!
The Crafting system in Riders of Icarus is actually pretty nice. In order to achieve the next stage of crafting, you are supposed to master 2 recipes (at least for going from stage 1 to stage 2). Once you have mastered two recipes in a certain craft, you can get to the next level. In my case, stage 2 is only available once I reach level 10, so I still have some XP to go. And how do you master one recipe? Well ... by just crafting it. How many times? Well, that depends on the recipe. You will notice that there are golden circles next to a recipe. You need all 4 circles to be filled in order to master a recipe. Sometimes crafting 1 or 2 items is enough to fill a circle, but other times you need more. I guess the higher the crafting stage, the more items you will have to craft in order to fill a circle and master a recipe.
Anyway ... In this episode we briefle touch upon Weapon Crafting and Armor Crafting as well as Jewelry Crafting. The crafting system is actually pretty easy to learn, and I think I will check in out again once I'm level 10 to see if it is worth it!
