Ridge Racer 6 (360)
Ridge Racer 6 takes the series back to it's core values following the disaster of R: Racing. It is a good thing that it did too because of all the things that I've noticed the number of true arcade racers has been dwindling.
Alot of people like to point out that Ridge Racer 6 was the first in the series to not be released on Playstation. Obviously they meant that as in the major series but I still count R: Racing (released on Xbox and Gamecube) and Ridge Racer 64 somewhat of important pieces of the franchise - for better or worse.
Not that it mattered anyway because by that point all of the defining PS2 exclusive franchises had made the jump and Ridge Racet 7, released on Playstation 3 the following year, was a drastic improvement over Ridge Racer 6 in anycase but I'll write more on that one later perhaps.
As you'll see in this video also, I can't drift for shit.
