Riding the fastest commuter train in Jakarta, Kranji→Jatinegara. [Cikarang Loop Line] Tokyu 8518F
3Trip from Kranji to Jatinegara, with currently the fastest line KRL Commuterline rail system, the Cikarang Loop Line. The maximum speed of this line has been increased from the standard 70 km/h limit into 95 km/h.
Though, most of the time the trains in this line don't reach that speed due to the short distances in between stations on the Jatinegara-Bekasi segment. Trains might be faster on the Bekasi-Cikarang segment, though, due to longer distances in between stations and longer headway in between trainsets.
The trainset I'm riding on is a Tokyu 8518, from the Tokyu 8500. These trains have faster acceleration than the JR 205 commonly servicing the Commuterline.
Tokyu 8500 series has 3.3 km/(h⋅s) acceleration while most JR 205 only has 1.7 km/(h⋅s) acceleration (excluding the JR205-5000 from Musashino Line.)
