Tokyu 8642F [Hitachi 1C8M; GTO-VVVF] (Oscilloscope Visualization)
This is an audio visualization of a GTO-VVVF motor from the Tokyu 8500 series train set 8642F, this is a special set as this is one of the only Tokyu 8500 series set to be equipped with a VVVF inverter from the factory.
Other 8500 series trains uses Field Chopper Control.
This particular set was made in 1989, 14 years after the first 8500 series train was introduced.
This particular set continues to operate until 2019 before it was scrapped.
There are no more Tokyu 8500 series train operating with VVVF inverter, the Tokyu 8500 series itself is going to be retired next year. (2023)
