Rimworld Biotech Vanilla Playthrough E56: Not What I Thought Would Happen
This was my first introduction to what should have been obvious to me at the start of this series, but I've completely forgot. See, the xenotypes are separated into two types: germline genes and xenogenes. Germline Genes are what the pawn is "born with," and these cannot be removed but can be overriden with xenogenes. Xenogenes are added to the pawn either by injection (?) or by a Sanguophage with it's specific geneline. Since Highmates have their traits on the Xenogene tree, when a Sanguophage inplants it's genes onto them, the pawn loses their Highmate genes in exchange for the Sanguophage genes. Oh well, lesson learned
Hope you all enjoy, and I'll see you in the next one!
