I look at several road types, mud, and water to compare their effectiveness at preventing filth and dirt tracking for both short and long hauls. This is not a lab experiment delving into the details of how dirt and filth generation works, but rather a look at how RNG plays a part and if the best-case scenario is worth the hassle.
Haulers track a lot of dirt through rooms. This dirt affects how clean an area is, which can affect hospitals' infection rate as well as a kitchen's food poisoning chance. It's been assumed dirt floors are bad and roads connecting buildings reduce the amount of dirt that's tracked, but does it really? I aim to find out!
