We will begin a new series here in the channel, Rival Schools, and again it will be a short series again, since it only has 2 games.

Rival Schools - United by Fate is a 3D fighting game developed by Capcom, released in arcades in 1997 and ported to the Playstation in 1998. At that time, I saw an arcade of this game and I remember playing only onew time, I didn't like that game at first. I really begin to play this when I bought for PS1, and this is the version I'm playing here.

One of the things I really liked, is the story happens in the same world of Street Fighter, like a "extended universe". Rival Schools, final Fight and others happens in this same universe too. The story introduces the player to a Japanese city called Aoharu City, where several local schools are the victims of unknown attacks and kidnappings of students and staff. We will follow the story of Taiyo High School, the students Batsu Ichimonji (The lead character of the game. A recent transfer to Taiyo High, he is looking for his kidnapped mother.), Hinata Wakaba (A first-year student at Taiyo. She immediately joins Batsu in the investigation of his mother's disappearance.) and Kyosuke Kagami (A first-year student and member of the school's morals committee. He too joins Batsu in his investigation.).
