Apparently the hideout was to the right. Anyway...

I did run into a bug with the controller haptics. When I was rescuing clank from the giant centipede robot, the rumbling motor of the centipede remained constant in my controller, even after I jumped off and left it behind. I wasn't sure if it was because of something Rivet was carrying. The haptics shifted to the rumblings inside Rivet's ship as they traveled to the next planet, but once she stepped out of her ship again, the rumbling of the centipede started up again, and didn't stop until I died. So that was a strange thing.

Also, I had no idea that hitting the O button allowed you to jump to other magnetic paths. That took me a minute to figure out - I didn't know what the hex reticle meant.
