[RMMV]: Project Neo Vers 1.35b - Ultimate Showdown & Class Demonstration
Video demonstrating my new RPG that is in the works and the current 3 classes that I have almost fully finished (animations and some optimization still required).
The enemies I'm facing are actually using the same class that my actors are and using the best/smartest strategies that I defined for them against me. I did lower the HP of all the enemies a bit so I can for sure survive the fight and make it to the final phase which I just made out of shits and giggles and my love for Digimon, so because of that you may not see the full strength of the enemy AI.
However the final 'boss' is a combination of all 3 classes and AI strategies which make him very interesting. Skip to 8:30 and watch there to see him in action!
This battle and the enemies used will not be in the game and only are being used to demonstrate the battle system and classes.
Quick Summary of Classes:
1) Berserker [BER](TANK)
- Your basic tank type class with some offensive capabilities and counter-like skills. Skills used by this class can also trigger a status effect on the user called Battle High which increases ATK and HP regen of the user and also grants access to the skill known as Dragon's Rush.
2) Tactician [TAC](HEALER)
- Very unique type of healer that can also be a powerful offensive and support force. TAC uses two stances which will either enhance it's own offensive skills or its own healing skills. It also has the ability to make 'items' which require a certain stance to be used. The items are very powerful effects with high cooldowns. If your in an offensive stance but need to heal fast you can use Paradigm Change to quickly switch into the opposite stance and begin healing.
3) Bloodknight [BKN](DPS)
- This is a class that uses its own HP and MP to use certain skills. The class has two unique types of play styles which depend entirely on the user's discretion. First style relies on the 'Blood' buffs which allow the BKN to self manage and restore its own HP/MP pools without needing the aid of others. This is known as the 'safe'/'solo' play style. The second play style revolves around utilizing its most powerful offensive ability known as Dark Pact. Each time you attack an enemy with a skill you will gain a Dark Pact stack. While gaining Dark Pact stacks you cannot use your 'Blood' buffs as this will remove Dark Pact entirely. At 5 stacks of Dark Pact the BKN will enter a 'Devil Trigger' mode where its ATK/AGI and DMG Resistance are boosted exponentially for 5 actions. During this form you will be doing an insane amount of DMG. When Devil Trigger ends you will become Soulless which is a highly weakened state which requires either you being healed to full or the start of your next turn to be removed.
