Robbie Dupree - Steal Away (Keyboard Multipart Cover)
This song was first given as an assignment for the band during my Yamaha PSR530 days (forgot the year tho) and since then the song has been stuck in my mind..although I backed down from this song that time due to the keyboard's limited capability (1 split+1 layer) and back then, i was confused of the electric guitar part (which to me sounded like a harpsichord with distortion) i mistaken for a keyboard sound..it blew my mind, coz i felt i will not be able to do most of the keyboard parts.
This year, this song was again given as an assignment for a gig, and i kinda felt a bit confident that one way or another, I can create a patch that'll allow me to do the important parts together (piano, rhodes, strings). Took me months to figure things out and now, finally, here's the result of my experiment. Heavy multitasking and ultra instinct, finger and hand independence is involved here: my right thumb is doing the strings, while the other fingers are playing the rhodes stabs, and my left hand is doing the piano. I hope you like my interpretation. 😊
