1EN: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Japanese: ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ2 ツー Hepburn: Sonikku za Hejjihoggu Tsū?) is a platform video game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis console. It was released worldwide in November 1992. The game is the second main entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and the first to feature Miles "Tails" Prower, a flying two-tailed fox. Tails and protagonist Sonic the Hedgehog must stop series antagonist Dr. Ivo Robotnik from stealing the Chaos Emeralds to power his space station, the Death Egg.
FR: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ2), aussi appelé Sonic 2, est un jeu vidéo de plates-formes développé par Sega, sorti en 1992 sur Mega Drive. Il reprend le concept de son prédécesseur Sonic the Hedgehog en proposant quatre principaux changements : l'ajout d'un mode deux joueurs, la présence de Tails, l'apparition du Spin Dash et la possibilité de devenir Super Sonic. Le jeu a été converti sur Master System et Game Gear (cf. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8 bit)).
