Rock Band 2 - Panic Attack (Expert Vocals FC)
4A second video for the recently-FGFC'd Rock Band 2 was kind of needed here, and is by far one of the more awesome tracks for it. Hey, it's Dream Theater, so no complaining. x)
So, "Panic Attack". When hosting a co-op run with cammokyle on the unrelated Fall of Troy song of the same name, I was bound to get one or two people to mix it up with THIS actual track. And when I DID do the sightread, I was actually feeling the moods behind it in spite of its length.
This week though, tensions have been riding high for a number of incidents to happen within the next month. A holiday in Ireland over Easter, the incoming Sonic 1 project on OCRemix, an exciting new map structure for a Minecraft SMP server I'm staffing, going through RB1 and its apparently stricter engine, maybe to some extent the Royal Wedding (even though I'm spending that day on the road anyway)... it just goes on and on. So I feel justified to say that the song choice is appropriate.
Not the most perfect of paths though; had one OD phrase left over and missed a clap (was focusing on the monitor, hoping the recording weren't skipping any frames), but still a fun performance. Got my tongue in a muddle on the second verse, but then again, who wouldn't?

Q: What's that intro music you use?
A: The intro music is "Bad Chipmunk", a composition that I made myself in my third year of University study. You can grab the full track here:

Q: How do you record your game?
A: I use a Dazzle DVC Platinum, with all audio coming from an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder. Sometimes if I'm either in a hurry, recording splitscreens or want to record when the Dazzle is unavailable, I would use a Fujifilm Finepix Z digital camera. They're cheap little things, I must admit, but they certainly get the job done.
Q: What console are you on?
A: I'm on the Wii :)
Q: Why are you on the Wii? Graphics are SOOOOO much better on the X360 and PS3 - get one of those instead!!
A: If it plays fine enough for me to rack up the FCs that I did, I don't need another system just yet. I'm perfectly happy with my Wii at the moment, thank you.

A: Firstly, that wasn't even a question; secondly, you must have an even more retarded existence taking time to troll even the perfectly healthy amongst us nerds; and finally, any comment like that gets an automatic block from me.

A: I can only play with European Wii players on GH5 and Band Hero, but other than that I can play with just about anyone with a Wii. If you got your friend codes / console number handy, I'll share mine in return and I'll be sure to keep it in my roster for when we do meet.
