Rogue Flight - New Game - Extreme Difficulty - No Death Run
16A pretty good arcade rail shooter, old school style.
It's arguable which one is harder, New Game or New Game +. On New Game you start with basic vulcan, but stages are a tiny bit shorter and maybe tiny bit easier...I guess. On New Game + you start fully loaded with all weapons and two seraphs ( tiny satelites that shoot additional projectiles), but stages are supposed to be slightly harder. In reality only the final stage is kinda different only because they throw these lasers at you at the end. All in all, NG and NG+ kinda feel the same, maybe NG being a bit harder even. So, I decided to go with it. I may make a NG+ Extreme run too.
Game is easy, actually. Drifting is extremely overpowered and you can upgrade it to have virtually zero cooldown. You completely melt bosses even not fully upgraded. Once you figure out how to play, the game becomes trivial, even on Extreme. It kinda looks much more hardcore and demanding than it actually is. It still is a very competent rail shooter, with a lot of meat on the bone. There's unlockabe stuff too. If you like games like Space Harrier or Afterburner you have to check out Rogue Flight, as there aren't that many modern rail shooters out there. Maybe Air Twister too, although it feels a bit basic compared to Rogue Flight. But still good enough.
